On the museum grounds visitors will find not one, but two restored railroad depots. Both depots have been moved from their original locations to Calera Alabama. One had served the Southern Railway (and it's predecessors) while other was built by the Louisville and Nashville serving the Woodlawn community in Birmingham Alabama.

Wilton Depot

The Wilton Depot served the Southern Railroad in the town of Wilton as a combination depot.

Woodlawn Depot

The Woodlawn Depot was built in 1904 and located in Woodlawn, a community in Birmingham, Alabama. It has been known as the East Lake Freight Station or simply the L&N Freight Depot.
