The ADDSCO Plymouth center cab switch locomotive was used at the Alabama Dry Dock and Shipbuilding Company (ADDSCO) shipyard in Mobile, Alabama. The ADDSCO shipyard was an important shipbuilder during World War II and the Plymouth, which came to the shipyard around 1942 or 1943, played an important part of building ships for the war effort.
A combination of private donations and museum funds secured the locomotive for display in the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum's Clark Yard.
